Need another answer?

Choose the right recording path and capture mode, then continue editing the take in Studio.

01

Choose where to start recording

Both paths finish in the same Studio editor, where you can trim, frame, caption and export the take. Free and Launch Pass recordings are limited to 5 minutes and Studio video is watermarked; the Pro limits in the table differ because extension takes must first transfer into Studio.

Recording pathCapture choicesBest forPro limit

Understand the extension capture modes

Extension optionWhat it records
This tabThe active normal web tab, available tab audio and precise cursor/click data for richer Studio polish
DesktopA window or full screen selected in Chrome's share picker, with shared audio when Chrome offers it; page-level cursor data is not available
CameraAn optional, separate face-camera track that Studio can move, resize, reshape or remove
MicrophoneOptional narration mixed into the main take, so removing the camera bubble does not remove your voice

Record with the Chrome extension

  1. 1Open the product tab, select Screenhance in Chrome's toolbar, then choose This tab or Desktop.
  2. 2Choose camera and microphone devices, watching the preview and input meter where available.
  3. 3Start the countdown and move into the prepared first state.
  4. 4Perform the demo with deliberate pauses around clicks and state changes.
  5. 5Stop from the in-page recording control, the extension popup or the configured shortcut.
  6. 6Wait while the take opens in Studio. If delivery is interrupted, use Deliver again from the popup instead of recording over the take.
04

Record directly in Studio without the extension

  1. 1Open Screenhance Studio and choose Record in browser.
  2. 2Choose Screen to share a tab, window or full screen; Camera to record your face only; or Both to record the shared screen and face camera together.
  3. 3Turn Microphone on when the take needs narration, then select Start recording.
  4. 4For Screen or Both, choose the source in the browser's share picker and enable Share tab audio or Share audio when the product sound matters.
  5. 5Complete the three-second countdown, record the take, then stop or pause from Studio. The edit opens in the same tab without a delivery step.
05

Plan around the limits

  • Free and Launch Pass recordings stop at 5 minutes and produce watermarked Studio video.
  • The Chrome extension supports Pro recordings up to 10 minutes.
  • Recording directly in Studio supports Pro recordings up to 45 minutes.
  • Saved Pro videos remain subject to the current 1 GB storage ceiling.
