What this part of ASO controls

Screenhance turns the visual side of ASO into an editable, testable system: product states, slide order, captions, locales, and files for the store slots you choose.

Build each set around a truthful hypothesis, such as whether a clearer first-slide message helps a particular audience understand the app, then measure it in App Store Connect or Play Console.

Build a set you can learn from

Keep the listing clear, the evidence real, and each experiment narrow enough to interpret.

1

Start with the audience and use case

Choose the storefront or traffic segment first, then lead with the product outcome most relevant to that group.

2

Make every caption support the screen

Explain the outcome in plain language and keep every promise grounded in the product state shown.

3

Use a realistic, safe product state

Populate a demo account with plausible content, remove private data, and keep the interface legible at listing size.

4

Change one meaningful variable

Test the first-slide message, sequence, or treatment independently when possible so a result has a useful explanation.

5

Review the finished locale, not just the translation

Have a fluent reviewer check terminology, register, line breaks, and in-app content in every localized slide before export.

Measure the screenshot set in the store

Use the current experiment controls and confidence reporting in App Store Connect or Play Console to measure your own listing.

1–10

Apple screenshots per listing

Apple's current upload guide accepts between one and ten screenshots in JPEG or PNG format.

3

Apple treatments per test

Product page optimization supports up to three treatments against the original product page.

2

Google Play variants

A Play store listing experiment can currently compare up to two variants with the existing listing.

90%

Apple confidence label

Apple may mark a treatment Performing Better or Worse once its analysis reaches 90% confidence.

16

Screenhance locales

Preview translated captions in each built-in locale, then complete a human language and layout review.

1

clear variable per treatment

A focused change makes it easier to understand what may have caused a measured difference.

ASO screenshot questions

What does an ASO screenshot tool change?

It helps you control the visual part of a store listing: the screenshots you choose, their order, captions, device treatment, localization, and export sizes. Keyword research, ratings, app quality, and the rest of the listing still need separate work.

Can I A/B test screenshots made in Screenhance?

Yes. Export deliberately different sets, then run the experiment in App Store Connect or Play Console. Apple product page optimization can test up to three treatments; Google Play store listing experiments support graphics variants. The stores, not Screenhance, collect and evaluate the experiment data.

How many screenshots should I create?

Use only the slides needed to explain the app. Apple currently accepts one to ten screenshots. Google Play has its own current asset requirements. Check the relevant store specification before upload instead of designing to a universal slide count.

Can I localize one design for several markets?

Yes. Screenhance has 16 built-in locales. Translate or enter copy for each enabled locale, inspect every slide in that language, and have a fluent reviewer check terminology and fit before export.

Does a polished screenshot guarantee more installs?

A clearer set can help people understand the product. Compare a controlled variant with the current set and use the store's own confidence and conversion data to measure the result for your app, audience, traffic source, and market.

Can I try the store editor for free?

Yes. Free includes the templates and core editing tools plus three watermarked PNG exports at 1× each month. The Launch Pass adds ten clean static image exports over seven days, including all store sizes and locales; Pro includes unlimited clean image exports.
