How to choose the right mockup for the job
Use straight, large product views for approval and portfolio work. Perspective and environmental context are useful when they explain scale or placement, but they should not make the artwork harder to inspect. The product remains the subject; the scene is supporting evidence.
Match the mockup to the decision being made. Browser and device frames explain software, flat print views help with layout approval, apparel and tote bags show brand application, and outdoor scenes demonstrate campaign scale. A useful library should cover all of these without forcing one presentation style onto every format.
